New Website: Gladstone Engineering Alliance

The new website for the Gladstone Engineering Alliance includes a neat trick to make it a bit friendlier on small screens, like smartphones.

Take a look at it on your desktop, and then check it on a small screen.

The site automatically repurposes the layout so that the 2 columns become one. The sidebar automatically tucks in under the main content, making it much easier to read on narrower screens.

It’s not a separate site – all the content and images are the same. We use “magic” to display the same content in a different way, to better suite the device.

The website also features a “members section” – each member has their own username and password, and they can log in and update their own profice and capabilities statement on the website.

New Website: Depco Drilling

Depco Drilling’s new website is a sharp contrast to their previous edition.

A cleaner layout also features an Employment section where job vacancies can be posted and applications accepted.

Depco can also assign clients usernames and passwords enabling clients to log in and access documentation that’s, well, for clients only! This means that someone on a mine site working shift work can still access things instead of having to wait for the office to open in the morning.

And of course, Depco can do all these updates themselves via our very own management system.

The Gladstone Engineering Alliance approached us with an existing website that was really showing signs of age. Like many clients, they needed to be able to update it themselves with a minimum of fuss.

Their new website not only allows them to do this, but also features a members area that:

Allows their members to collaborate on joint projects
Features job boards and notice boards
Enables board members to access specific information and documentation

There is also a full detailed members list that lets the general public locate any service providers too.
