The Next Version of Microsoft Office

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

The next version of Microsoft Office, Office 2007, is now not that far away. There has been talk about the menu and toolbars we have been used to for so long disappearing, and being replaced by a “Ribbon”.

Micosoft have now released a preview video that outlines how it will work. I must say it looks pretty impressive. I just hope that the features previewed here will work on computers now and won’t require us to upgrade our PCs in order to use them!

The preview runs for about 13 minutes and is well worth a look if you’re a regular Office user.

So along with a totally new design we have converted the site over to our new Content Management System - a fancy way of saying they can update their website themselves, without any exstra software!

New Website: Karma House

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

Karma HouseKarma House is an “unusual” shop that has been operating in Cairns for 7 years. Their new website has a similar unusual feel, yet incorporates a large product catalgue and shopping cart facility.

Via a password protected administration area, Karma House can add and remove their products, change details and prices, and update any page on their website whenever needed.

This site also maintains 2 price lists - one for retail and one for wholesale. Karma House can supply certain clients with a username and password, and when they log in they have access to wholesale rates.
