New Website: Central Queensland Jobs

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

cqjobs.com.au screenshotJust about everyone in central Queensland seems to be facing the same problem at the moment - not enough skilled people to fill the available jobs.

In an effort to remedy the problem, varous local government bodies and regional organisations have got behind an effort to attract people to the area from other locations - most significantly Adelaide - where GMH is about to make a large part of it’s workforce redundant.

Our new CQ Jobs website, coupled with a CD presentation (which can also be downloaded from the website) have been prepared to assist with this effort.

A Month of Awards

Thursday, November 3rd, 2005

Rockhampton Regional AwardsOctober started of pretty well for Almost Anything Desktop Publishing. We had two wins at the Rockhampton Regional Development and Ergon Energy Business Excellence Awards (shown right).

Firstly, we took out the Innovative Use of IT Award for 2005. We’ve been working hard on a couple of projects, most interstingly our very own Content Management System (CMS). This enables clients to update their websites themselves, without having to purchase any special software. It’s proving extremely popular at the moment as businesses realise the practical advantages of an up-to-date website.

Secondly, we took out Small Business of the Year. Nice!

Here we were not just competing against the Rockhampton region, but the whole of North Queensland. The Judges’ comments: “It’s cute and colourful - very appropriate for the product category.”

Janelle is rightly quite proud of her creation, and Kathy from Just Wood Toys sort-of likes it too!
